Feruary Week Three

Ah Valentine's Day. Love it or hate it (guess which side of the line I fall), you have to endure it.

Despite all efforts by some to make it the perfect evening of wine, good food and um "romance", it can still go awry . And where can events go more awry than the Buffyverse?

Your prompts this week are Valentine Disaster What Ifs:

What if Buffy forgot about Valentine's day?
What if Buffy was allergic to flowers?
What if Spike gave Buffy those chocolates in Blood Ties?
What if Buffy brought up that date with Principal Wood?
What if Spike and Buffy met during Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered?

I'll just be over here wishing for Halloween to come round again...

Although, I have to say that the only Valentine's story I have is the heartwarming one where my housemate and I managed to both rescue and return a teddy bear that had been lost on the pavement outside our house. It didn't even get rained on!

That's amazing! Not even wet!

This bloke I go to the pub with drunkenly told me and my friend that he loved us yesterday, so it wasn't a total bust.

Yes! It was face down on the pavement, which had been rained on but had no standing water at the time; and it was clearly well loved so a little extra dirt didn't look like it hurt...

Sounds like a very successful evening!

There's something very sad about a lost bear.

It made me miss my bear, which I may or may not have lamented got lost at some point between moving university rooms and the parents redecorating my room at home. :( :( :( Cuddly toys get to me worse than animals.

Maybe you should give up on the Llama farm and go for a teddy factory instead,

Oh, it would have to be a teddy shop... Not those weird Bear Factory slaughterhouses, though. Or those Disney Store mountains of plush like out of Dante's Inferno. It would have to be like Hamley's, with all the Steiffs sitting proudly as people come to find them. Or Toys R Us. If only I were in 19th century Switzerland! I could be the mad woman who ran a toyshop-sweetshop!

Yeah, a shop would more practical.

Perhaps you could take over the bear shop in Ironbridge.

Ah, but dragons can look after themselves, while bears are so helpless! The evil arctic hare is quite eye-catching, though!

And Dali the vampire bear!!!!!! Very dashing.

I like all the lovable rogues: http://www.steiffteddybears.co.uk/steiff-limited-edition-coming-soon-range/steiff-mad-hatter-teddy-bear-ready-to-preorder--034497.htm

That should have been spiffing, one day I will learn to read my replies over before I post them.

I do like the rakish angle of his hat, but Dali has a cape and can twiddle his 'tache!

Oh and at least your pavement didn't sink down a big hole.

It's true - although there is a biggish hole on a corner near our house with a traffic cone stuck in it; some glass cover thing broke.

Was that near you? Scary stuff.

Not far, about half a mile away. Just down the road from my work!

Back. Knackered, as always.
